As a parent (or educator), accurately completing the questionnaires about your child, provides KidsDadsMoms with the dynamic developmental skill characteristics, particular preferences, abilities, interests and needs of that child. Then, KidsDadsMoms can more effectively match educational and developmental products that will really make a difference in your child's learning experiences. The personal information that you continue to provide about your child will be used solely to provide a personal shopping experience for you, and a guide to helping you select the matched developmental products that are appropriate for the unique daily circumstances of your child. KidsDadsMoms registration form requires your contact information (name and email address) and a password and to specify a "personal question" to help you recover your password should you lose it. Your contact information is used to send you information about KidsDadsMoms, suitable products for your child and any order(s) you may have placed. From time to time we will send you emails notifying you of important events, news and applicable referral information . We also send users a welcome email when they register, order confirmation and shipment notice emails when they purchase products on the site. KidsDadsMoms detailed questionnaires profile data about your children (or students) and their cognitive, social, emotional and physical skill development levels. We use this data to effectively tailor an enjoyable experience for you at our site and to match our products and services to your child's enjoyment, abilities and preferences.

Our site uses an order form for customers to purchase products. We collect customers' contact information (like their billing, shipping and email addresses). Credit cards are processed through Cybercash for security purposes. We do not maintain credit card information on our site. We also ask our members to enter a password when entering their child's profile to place an order and when guests enter a child's matched product list. Products purchased through the learning center by consumers that are not members, do not enter a password. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders, shipping and billing notifications, and other information about our company.

The participant's contact information is also used to get in touch with a visitor when necessary. For example, one of our product manufacturers could need to notify participants of a product-related issue. The password is used so that the participant can return and access their order information in a secure manner. Credit card information is collected and used to bill the customer for the products and services that they order. Yes, you can find many of these products in other retail stores, but we believe that we have a special broad mix of quality developmental products in our database that would be difficult to locate in a single retail store. Also, when you purchase products on-line at KidsDadsMoms.com the special features of our Preferred Instruction (Pi) Process, such as, the History Report and the Smart Matrix, are activated as a guidance system designed to help you build a brighter child. What is out of stock and how does it affect shipping?

Out of stock describes that we have that product on order and will deliver the item to you within 14 business days. Please be aware that occasionally titles go out of print or publishers run out of stock and products are discontinued or become inaccessible. We will notify you within 14 days if we encounter any difficulty in obtaining your ordered products.

Why does KDM sometimes split orders?

There are circumstances that sometimes require us to split your order into separate shipments: Oversized Items: Certain items are so large that they must be shipped separately from the rest of your order. These oversized items may incur an additional shipping cost. The amount of the special handling fee is based solely on the extra charges levied by the shipping carrier to transport these items. If a special handling fee applies, it will be included in your product price.

Special-Back Orders or drop shipments: All special-orders or drop-shipments must be sent as their own shipment because they are being sent directly from the supplying vendor . Items from your order that are immediately available will ship on time, and we will do our best to expedite your special order as soon as it's available. Note: In addition, we will sometimes split your order into multiple packages to provide you with the most efficient service. If this occurs, please be assured that your entire order will still arrive within the timeframe we estimated, and at no additional cost to you.

When are orders combined?

If your order includes items that are available at different times, but are all available within one week of each other, we will ship when your entire order is ready. For example, if you order a product that is currently in stock and one that is available within one week, we will combine your order into one shipment to minimize your shipping costs. Your items will then ship together as soon as they all become available. We suggest this option since it is most cost-effective. If you request that we split your order by shipping the items separately when each becomes available, your shipping costs may be higher in this case because you will have multiple shipments, and therefore, multiple shipping fees to pay. Please note: All special-orders, drop-shipments and oversized items must be delivered separately as their own shipment.

What are KDM's special handling policies?

Certain items, due to their extreme size, shape, or weight, fall outside the standard shipping price policy. Special Handling: Due to their unusual size or weight, some items require the following special handling:

What information will I receive about my order?

We are committed to providing quality service in our industry. To insure your order arrives at the earliest possible time, we will process it on the day of your purchase. Once your order is completed, you will receive an order confirmation message.

How are shipping charges calculated?

Because of our commitment to deliver quality products at a competitive price, we generally do not charge you for any additional handling fees. Shipping costs are calculated specifically based on your desired shipping service. Your shipping alternatives and costs can be found above.

How long does it take to process my order?

The majority of orders are processed and shipped the same day they are ordered. Can shipping charges be refunded? If we make an error in delivering your item, we will be happy to completely refund your shipping charges. We do not refund shipping in other situations, including product returns.

Please allow extra time for packages to reach Canada. Shipping times will vary depending on location. As with any international shipments, you may be subject to import fees which are levied once the package reaches Canada. Unfortunately, we can't control Canadian policy on tariffs, import duties and taxes, so we have no way of predicting when these charges apply. Therefore, once a shipment arrives at its destination, it's the responsibility of the recipient to cover any additional costs.

Our goal is to provide the fastest possible service to our customers, and we try to ship orders out as quickly as possible. This makes it extremely difficult to cancel or make changes to orders. There is a good possibility that by the time you call with a change or cancellation, your package could already be on its way to you! Why was my order backordered and when will I get it?

In a few cases, however, we may take your order and find out that our inventory is not what we thought it was (i.e. an item was damaged or defective). In this case, if we can't get your order to you within 14 business days, we will notify you via e-mail that it is on backorder and do our utmost to fulfill the order as soon as possible at no additional shipping charge. If you would like us to cancel the item, just contact us by phone or e-mail. We will take care of it immediately.

What is your merchandise return policy?

Our satisfied customers make us who we are. Our goal is 100 percent satisfaction. And your satisfaction is guaranteed! If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return it We stand behind the quality of all our products. You may return any item in its original condition, for any reason, within 30 days of shipment, but you must have a Return Authorization Number. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Unfortunately, due to manufacturer's rules, we cannot refund purchases of opened software, CD's, music or video tapes but will exchange them for the same title. Return shipping charges are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error. Software, video games and equipment, and audio products must be returned unopened. Sorry, we don't make the rules, but we also have to follow them.

How do I return a product that I want to cancel, but was already shipped based on my order? If your order has already been sent, then it may be too late to cancel the shipment. In this case, simply return the shipment by following the Return Authorization instructions, and we'll refund the purchase price of the item if the item is returned as shipped in resalable condition. All returned products should be in the condition in which they were received and in their original packaging. Unfortunately, the original shipping and handling costs are not refundable.

How do I return a product that is defective or was shipped in error?

In this case, simply return the shipment by following the Return Authorization instructions, and we'll refund the purchase price of the item and the original shipping and handling costs, if the item is defective or the error was KDM's mistake.

How can relatives or friends have access ONLY to my profiled child's 'KidsDadsMoms' matched product list, to purchase the right educational and developmental gifts all year long?

Once you have profiled your child you can set up a guest password from your family control page by clicking on "Create or Edit Guest Account" link in the Membership Options column. Then give both your login name and the special Guest Account Password that you created to as many people as you wish. You can change the Guest password at your option and re-issue it to friends and family as you desire.

How can I be sure that my Guests are selecting the right gifts for my children?

Whenever you update your child's profile, a matched product list is immediately updated with products from KDM's database that are compatibly matched with your responses about your child. Then the child's profile and matched product list is customized and based on their individual preferences, skills, strengths, weaknesses, needs, and interests. Therefore, any item selected from this matched list by your guest, is appropriate for that child. Once a product is selected and purchased from his/her matched list, our programs are designed to enter it in that child's History Report and eliminate that product so it cannot be selected and purchased again for that same child.
